The new measures represent an expansion of earlier legislation; while a ban on inflated ticket sales was announced in November, it notably excluded football,an omission that the new framework appears to rectify. By providing a secure and transparent ticketing environment, the UK enhances its “propositional value” to international sports federations, making it a more attractive and reliable partner for the delivery of global events.
